Post Hydro dipping a shotgun
Hey guys. I have been looking to possibly hydro dip my shotgun. I have a first gen(1991) Mossberg 835 that I want to dress up some for the coming spring. Two reasons one to make it look better and two to hopefully protect it a little better from rust and the elements. Do you guys know of any place that does this in the Roanoke area, and for a reasonable price. Thanks for any info.

I’m not sure if anyone is doing that in our area anymore. Camo enterprises went out of business several years ago. There’s a place in Winchester I’ve heard of.

I thought about camo dipping my 11-87 that had a black stock but ended up using a couple cans of spray paint. Super easy. Use the lightest color first (khaki or tan to cover whole gun) and then get darker. Taped off sights and anything else I didn't want paint on (ejection port, etc) and then I used a sponge to dab on darker colors.
Don’t look too shabby and the turkeys sure don’t seem to notice the difference :D

Thanks guys, found a place in Gretna, VA over $200 to get the gun dipped. I figure for the cost and everything to save more pennies and just get a new shotgun. For now the old 835, will stay as it is.
