I was fortunate to have an ABSOLUTE TEXTBOOK hunt this morning.Birds were flat out hammering on the roost just outside the field we were set up on. Soon a hen got real vocal so I just mimicked every call she made with my Doan's pill can. Around 6:45 the gobbler and 5 hens sailed right into the field. The gobbler saw the Jake deke and came right to it and started flogging it. At 6:50 he was flopping. 21.75 lbs, 9'' beard, longest spur was 1 3/16''. God is good! I'll try to post pics but not exactly sure how

Re: Tube call has struck! wonderful. Nice bird for sure and love it when a plan comes together.
PS. I played the game on Monday. Had a LB and Jake who came up the hill with hens. Got him within 30 yards but a knoll between him and me prevented me from getting a shot. He gobbled at everything, but he wasn't about to leave those hens. Had a few things pop up that required attention and hope to get out tomorrow.
