I have a stoeger m3020 that is nice a d a mossberg sa410 I'm gonna try this year. But I really want to get a m2 20ga. To me they feel good, are light, and is a pretty reliable gun. Plus there is a pistol grip option if you want.

Lots of choices. I think many are good. Benelli and Beretta are great choices. My son really likes his SX3. Might want to look used, but depends on your price point. Let us know how it goes.

Found a used 11-87 20 gauge a few years back locally and snagged it up . Put a .575 Carlson in it , a Shurshot stock on it , bought up every Federal HW7 I could find and it throws a stupid good pattern at 40 yards . Lots of good guns out there if you take the time to look . Pretty sure mine was originally bought from Wal-Mart based on the box , my point is I got it at a very reasonable price and with a few upgrades have a pretty evil rig so you don't have to spend a small fortune , just do some homework and a little looking . Wishing everyone a safe and productive season ...

I've killed a pile of them with my 1187 12 ga over the years.. but have had jamming issues with it.. got it fixed once.. worked for about 7 years .. started jamming again last year.. it is pretty much a single shot gun now.. I don't hardly hunt with it any more.. hunt with my pump 20 all the time now.. but did kill two with it last year after I missed a couple with my 20 (not guns fault.. just wanted to change my luck :) )..

My dad just last week bought this gun.. Escort .410 semi auto.. he can't take the kick of his 12 ga any more.. I am in the process of putting it together for him with aftermarket choke.. sling.. Burris FF3 red dot and TSS .. then will sight it in soon..

I think it's gonna be a nice gun once I get it finished.. shot a couple low brass through it and really liked the feel of it..
