Kentucky opener report with pictures
Bittersweet trip to KY for opening weekend last Saturday. This would be the last hunt in the best piece of access I have there as the farm has been sold.
My cousin joined me for the first two days. I managed to out wait a nice bird on Saturday and killed this one at 9 am. The bird I killed came in silent while we were calling to one I killed 45 minutes later in the same set up. His was 22 pounds. Mine was 25. Both are pictured on the log.

Since I was tagged out I took a youngster friend there on Monday to seek his first LB. we succeeded late morning after a four hour battle.

The pictures are in reverse order...I can get them up but can't get them in order, so the youngsters bird is the top one now etc...maybe you can sort them out. Apologies. But you get the idea. About s good a weekend as you could hope for.. interestingly we killed the only LBs we saw in the entire three mornings.

If it had to be the last I’d say it went out on pretty high note. I can be in Kentucky in about 6 hours if you’re in need of more youngsters

That’s about as good of a weekend you could dream about. Congrats on some spectacular birds.

Nice work GN!!! I love that state I'm actually trying to buy a farm down there. I was totally impressed with the amount of game in that region. When your deer hunting you see multiple turkeys in every sit.

Love those four hour battles. Congratulations on a great year and getting a young hunter in the game.
