Not sure there are enough characters to use to describe all the different things that happened during this hunt from a longbeard at 15 yards in full strut, hens about waking on top of us, watching this gobbler fight another one, and the dreaded not knowing which way to face cause multiple birds were coming from different directions. But I was able to get my nephew a bird on this Easter morning. Birds were on fire this morning!!!!

Sounds like about as good as it gets. Those type of situations get the juices flowing whether you be 12 or 65 (my age). Great start for the young man. |
