Went out this morning for the first time to try and hear some early gobbling. Heard 3, with 1 going pretty good.

I have not been out listening but I did see a flock of 15 on Thursday that included three strutters.

With the temps reaching the 70’s this week, by this coming weekend they should be gobbling pretty good

Went out the farm I hunt in the Northern Shenandoah Valley today. Saw nothing. That said, shot the gun a few times to check point of impact and while walking down to check out the target, I noticed a fair amount of droppings including some that were from today. The particular farm I hunt is not where they seem to go to find vittles but it is a great area to raise little ones and has two or three roost areas. Normally one will have the dominate bird of the farm and then a couple other Satellite birds will be nearby. Well, as I said that's normally the case. Things don't generally get sorted out until the end of March. We shall see what transpires. PS. I have no doubt I could have heard gobbling this morning if I had gotten my butt out of bed and driven an hour.

That’s what I need to do. Get my butt up and out, instead of watching the sunrise from bed

Scouted some new property this morning in Prince William, no gobbles off the roost but the woods were torn up with scratching and lots of gobbler tracks

Saw two strutters going into the woods I assume following some hens on the farm right beside the one I hunt in the northern Shenandoah Valley this morning. Giant cornfield over on that property and assume they were headed for that field. No idea how many hens were in front as I didn't see them.

A friend spotted 4 strutters on post. I saw a bunch of hen tracks on one of the farms I hunt. The spring pattern is setting up nicely.

I haven’t heard any gobbling, but saw 6 gobblers in a field on my way home from work last week. That same day my wife, dog & I went riding down our country road and had a massive gang cross the road. They walked single file making it easy to count all 39 of them. All hens and last years hatch, no longbeards

Listened to one this morning gobble real good on the roost in King George, even with all the wind.
