Post Steppin’ on Some Neck #3 in Bluemont
That's 3!!

TAGGED OUT!!!
First time EVER I have filled my limit on Spring Gobblers since I started hunting them in 1989!!
First year shooting a 20 gauge

Chasing mountain birds again. No gobbles here at daybreak.
I set up where i heard one gobbling Monday. At 0745 I let out a few yelps and he gobbled once at about 50 yds.
10 mins later he was circling around behind me on my left. When he went behind a big tree about 15 yds away I swung gun around and when he came out the other side...BOOM!
20# 9.5” beard, 1” spurs. Gotta love suicidal two year olds!

Good Stuff! Congrats on punching all three.

The gobbling has been light all week for me but I can only listen before I have to leave house for work. Quiet birds are not much fun but poachers are worse. A bird got shot on my property last Wednesday, scared the hell out of me. They grabbed bird and left in a hurry when I jumped up yelling. I think they thought they would be alone in the middle of the week. It really burns me after working so hard to own a piece of land.

Congratulations again, sounds like you'll be carrying that 20ga next season too.

Randy, I got a buddy been hunting Catlett all week & he’s been getting schooled.
Tough farm to hunt, glad I found some spots in Bluemont

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. Great accomplishment. And then to get turned around on a bird 15 yards away, I don't care how big the tree is, great job.

Thanks for the comments.
Wife asked me if tagging out meant my season was finally over now
I said, “No, I can still call for my buddies!”

Don’t think that was the answer she was looking for.
