 Steppin’ on Some Neck in Bluemont #2

Hunting some mountain birds today.
Good two year old. 19#, 9” beard, 3/4” ivory spurs.
Had four birds gobbling at dawn. Had three in close after flydown but went away.
Called two in to 40 yds then they hung up uphill from me. Another Gobbler started gobbling below me and these two came down to get him. When they hit the trail I shot. Both were about the same size.
Crazy thing was after I shot the one below kept gobbling.
I probably cudda called him in too!
Then another was going off while I was walking out.
Really started to sing now!
Another 20 gauge bird!

Congratulations on a great mountain bird. You really had them talking that morning. Noticed the same here birds starting to react and work a little better.
