Alright Peacemaker...if you are going to be the official countdown guy, and we do appreciate it, then you should start offering little snipets of turkey hunting wisdom with the daily count. Collect them from the web, for old posts here on the board, from your turkey hunting experiences thus far. :D

 Alright Dale.

There certainly isn't much I feel like I can offer to this group of turkey-chasers that they don't already know . . . especially since I learned most of what I DO know from y'all!! But, I have an extensive enough collection of turkey hunting articles collected from newsstands & websites that it won't be too much trouble to at least regurgitate what someone else has already said!! (. . . hey, isn't that how we all learn anyway? hmmm . . . :? )

With that, today's countdown . . .

. . . 61 days to go . . .

"If you're wondering whether you should or shouldn't move on a bird, or if you should call again or not, don't do either. Wait until you can't wait any more. Then wait another 15 minutes."

I've been slacking on the "Official Countdown Guy" duties . . . Work got really busy all of a sudden, and I had to fit in a trip to Alabama too. Hopefully work will slow down come April!

. . . 29 days left . . .

I know we all know it, but this can't be said often enough:

"Safety First!"

Know your target
Know what's beyond it
Safety ON until it's time to shoot
Put your decoys where you can see well past them to spot decoy stalkers
