 Butt kickin' This is the worst 3 weeks of turkey hunting that I have experienced in a LONG, LONG time!
Short summary of my season...
10 hunts totaling 54 hours
4 longbeards seen, one of which I am pretty sure I saw twice on our farm
Had a ''conversation'' with only 1 gobbler and I didn't kill him! He only answered me twice before leaving with a hen
The bird I was lucky enuff to kill never answered my call - silly 2 year old looking for love and I am THANKFUL for him!
On the bright side I've seen 13 hens-all single birds and 4 jakes
2 weeks left, hope things change for the better!!!

Re: Butt kickin' Been rough since opening week for me.. haven't hunted much in VA .. few times.. called two in for buddy, but they stayed in the thick stuff.. went to WV and got skunked there.. weather was awful.. did call up a gobbling Jake but passed.. hope it turns around some..
