 Another Nice Winter Hunt My good friend Gratten Hepler with his Thursday morning Quantico gobbler. That is his spaniel (Missy) and my Patch. They made the bust together and 5 birds flew in different directions. I will let Gratten tell the story. Gun….Ithaca 16 Ga. double Weight… 16# 10 oz. Beard… 9.25" Spurs.. 1 1/4" and 1 1/8"  Earl

Re: Another Nice Winter Hunt Almost stayed in the bed instead of hunting in the rain this morning, but knowing I'm not going to be able to hunt as much as I'd like in the spring I figured I better get out one last time this winter. I'm glad I did, it was nice to see a strutting gobbler with some hens and to call them all in almost like an early spring hunt.
