Post Ready for Turkey Season
Who is with me??

I am about tired of climbing a stand to deer hunt.. the older I get the less I like it and the less I do it..

Sunday morning I was in a stand and had 4 long beards roosted 20 yds from me.. two of them were strutting on the limb .. pretty site for sure.. I just stayed still and let them fly down in peace and walk away.. but you can bet I will scout a bit extra there for the spring :)

I was thinking the same thing WV! I enjoy bow season, but by this time of year, I start thinking spring turkey. I am going to do a couple of rabbit hunts with friends that have beagles, a couple of woodcock hunts, some waterfowl hunting, tag along on a few fall turkey hunts, then it will be spring. Going bass fishing tomorrow for the last time this year.

Me too. You just can't beat a spring morning with the woods coming alive owls hooting birds chirping then the hammer of a big ole tom gobble echoing threw the woods, warms the heart just thinking about it..

Yep!

I hope to get out once or twice before spring myself. I can't deer hunt if turkey season is in and I still have a tag left.
