last year you had a post about hunting on rainy old days like today. and last year i posted about taking a doe . well today was another one of those great day this cold front really had the dear moving in my area i got in the woods late and there was three deer feeding under my stand they winded me and bolted didn really want to climb up the tree today so i built me a ground blind. had a spike feed out in front of me just couldnt get a good shot then 15 min later a doe feed out into the gas line she was kinda spooked and keep looking around and was just out of a range when i noticed a another deer behind her it was a really nice 4 pointer the doe went back into the thicket and the buck made a line straight to me shot him at 8 yards he ran maybe 60 yards and fell over. wasnt even going to deer hunt but after reading several post on here just wanted to get in the woods. and really glad that i did. thanks freddie for having such a great site |

Congrats hennedup on a successful dreary day hunt. Those days have been nothing short of magical for me in the past. A touch of the flu has kept me out of the woods this week. Hope to get out next week. Thanks Freddy for the forum. |
