Well guys the deer wont moving too much this morning on my property and i had to be at work at 11 so i saw a gang of hens and jakes in the lower field so i laid my gun down and took off running at them. They all flew in different directions so i went back and got my ML and went to where i scattered them. I started call on my trusty primos limbhanger diaphram and called in a 12 pound jake....i took a head shot on him at 15 yards and dropped him. Im getting ready to drop him in the cooker as we speak....i hope everyone else had a safe and succseful day |

Congrats Reed, I walked up on a few does this morning going in, but sat where I knew turkeys had been using for about 3 hours, occationally calling, but nothing. I fell asleep about 9:30 and something woke me up at 12:00. I called a few time, then about 12:15 a jake and 7 hens walk out of the woods into a clearing no more than 20 yards from me. I dropped one of the hens about 5 minutes later. my first turkey, lol, I shook for a good 20 minutes. I hope everyone had as good fortune today too. |
